Discover the magic of fromage fort, Jacques Pรฉpin's elegant solution to leftover cheese! This French-inspired cheese spread transforms forgotten cheese bits into a luxurious appetizer with just garlic, wine, and seasonings. Perfect for entertaining, this creamy spread can be enjoyed chilled or broiled until bubbling on crusty bread. Infinitely adaptable to whatever cheeses you have on hand, it's both a sophisticated starter and a brilliant way to reduce food waste. - Claude

Unless you failed the "I am not a robot" Captcha, your recipes will not look like these images!
Ingredients
ยฝ pound cheese pieces, leftover cheese of almost any kind from your fridge
1 garlic clove
ยผ cup dry white wine
Black pepper
Salt

Directions
Put cheese pieces in the bowl of a food processor.
Add garlic clove and dry white wine and a big grinding of black pepper.
Process mixture for 30 seconds or so, until it is creamy but not too soft.
Taste, and add salt if needed.
Transfer fromage fort to a serving dish, or to an airtight container to store until you are ready to eat.
You can also spread it on bread and broil it for a few minutes until brown and bubbly.
Servings
Makes about 1 cup (4 servings)

๐Ÿ’ฌ Uncle Dave says... Blend hard and soft cheeses for perfect fromage forte, but if you've only got the hard stuff, just add butter, ricotta, yogurt, or extra wine/cream to create that magical spread! Go EASY on blue cheese - that funky flavor bomb will hijack everything. Every batch is different, but I swear on my grandmother's cheese grater, it's practically IMPOSSIBLE to mess this up! ๐Ÿ™„ Help: Seriously? You don't need any help.
๐ŸŒ„ What's Up With The Images? Well, originally, we didn't have any pictures of the food at all. Intentionally! Because I find those sites with so many pictures that it takes forever to get through the directions to be annoying AF! I mean, seriously, if you need a picture to show you how to stir something, you shouldn't be cooking!
Then I decided to add pictures of the finished product when I remembered to take them, which isn't very often. There are a very few recipes which actually show some cooking steps, but not in the middle of the directions.
Anyway, recently I have discovered that AI can make credible images of the finished recipe. Is that right? Is it moral? Are robots taking over the world? Don't know; don't care. But I promise that unless you are a robot, your recipes won't turn out anything like the pictures.
๐Ÿ’ฏ Why There Are Recipe Numbers Missing: Well, it's like this. The recipe numbers are automatically generated by the database, always using a new number for a new recipe. Over the last 20 years many recipes, mostly test recipes, have been added and then deleted, leaving only their memory and their number behind. And there was also a lot of weird stuff going on in the beginning, which messed up the order. In terms of date added, the first one is #6, then #4, #9, #10, #4, #718!!!, #2, and finally #1. Just the way databases and poor programmers work!
