Indulge in these irresistible Honey Peanut Butter Cookies that perfectly balance sweet and nutty flavors. The unique addition of hot cocoa mix creates subtle chocolate undertones while honey adds distinctive sweetness and moisture. With their crispy exterior and tender interior, these cookies develop the perfect texture and beautiful golden-brown color. Make them with or without chocolate chips for versatility. This easy recipe yields about three dozen cookies that disappear quickly at family gatherings!

Ingredients
1 egg ย 
1 cup peanut butter ย 
1 cup softened butter or margarine ย 
1/3 cup brown sugar ย 
1/2 cup sugar ย 
1/2 cup honey ย 
1 tsp. baking soda ย 
2 packets hot cocoa mix ย 
2 TBS. milk ย 
1 1/2 to 2 cups flour
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional).

Directions
Preheat oven to 350ยฐ.
Blend egg, butter, peanut butter, honey, baking soda, sugar and brown sugar.
Combine cocoa mix and milk in a small bowl until it has a fudge-like texture.
Pour into the egg mixture.
Slowly mix in flour until the dough can be rolled into balls.
Bake at 350ยฐ for 8 to 11 minutes or until surface is brown and crispy.
Variation: add 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Makes about 3 dozen.
