Uncle Dave’s Third Annual Birthday Billython (UDTABB) – The Clown Returns: The Thank Yous

Monday, October 11, 2010 — by Uncle Dave Be The First To Comment On This Post

I am not sure what the future holds, but this MAY be my last big Billython. The end of Sunday night’s show was very emotional for me, as I realized it will be a long, long time before I see this again. Maybe not. Who knows?
So I wanted to make a list of people to thank for making this a wonderful trip.
First and foremost, the incomparable Thommie Retter, Broadway’s Mr. Braithwaite, for being so kind and generous, and for being just a regular guy. Even though I can not do “My Little Pony”, he is a great dance instructor and made the workshop and the days that followed just wonderful.
And thanks to Tony Award winners Greg Jbara, David Alvarez & Kiril Kulish, and the Spastic Starfish Tessa Netting, for making the workshop extra special.
You are all remarkable people and have such promising futures!! Of course, for David and Kiril, who are 16 years old, you are going to have to have truly remarkable futures to top your Tony awards. But I suspect that will happen! And I am sure we will see Tessa Netting’s name in lights in the not-too-distant future; she is an amazingly talented young lady. And, of course, we will continue to hear from Greg and Thommie for many years to come.
Thanks to Linda Tam for putting the workshop together so that there would be one on my birthday Billython! You are very fookin’ special! And thank you for the birthday lunch AND dinner. I am a lucky guy!
(See, this is where I remembered that I forgot Suzanne, Geri and Cary, so I gave them their own posts.)
And, in no particular order:
Bob Z.
RTM2008 (Trevor)
Steven King
David Barker
Cindy Fine
Taylor K.
Kathy C.
Liam M. (not Liam Mower, however)
Samantha G.
Sean Patrick Brennan
Tom (Gavroche)
Christian
All the people I met at the workshop.
(I feel like I am missing some people, so I apologize.)
I treasure your friendship and am so grateful for the joy of meeting up with you on these trips.

And thanks to the entire cast of BETM, who make the show wonderful, and are so generous with their time. And to the parents and family of these incredible children for allowing fans to meet them and for the sacrifices you make to allow them to entertain us.
