Today dawned. That is the most that we can hope for. As I recall, it dawned gloomy.
I had Breakfast at Westway diner with JJF and, later Sking, who had just arrived.
I did some shopping in the morning and early afternoon, and then to the Billy Stage door, to wait for Thommie Retter to arrive to supply him with a large bag of crack, aka Husky Treats.
Well, just as Thommie arrived, another fellow arrived at the stage door to the show next door – Bengal Tiger – Robin Williams. Now, I happen to know someone who knows him, so I went up and introduced myself. He was quite kind to me and to his fellow actor, Thommie Retter. It seems that the kids in Billy Elliot had sent Robin a card signed by all of them inviting him to see the show. Thommie repeated that invitation, to which Robin responded, “Fuckin’ A, i will”.
So, on to Billy and then to our duties at the American Idiot lotto.
So far this day is sounding boring as all shit.
Weather has improved a bit and JJF is off to see How To Succeed and then a baseball game. I was desperately hungry and smelled some grilled chicken at a cart. Had to have some, and after gobbling that down I joined Bill Koch, Sking, Hugsy and Taylor at Westway – they ate dinner and I had dessert. The chicken was awesome.
Then several of us went to see How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, starring Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffee. It was awesome.
My luck seems to be changing. The two seats in front of me and the lady next to me were empty, giving us a clear view of the stage four rows away. And the two 2-ish young ladies next to me enjoyed the show so much it increased my enjoyment ten-fold.
From the looks of things, Liza Minnelli, who was sitting one row in front and about 8 seats to the left of me, enjoyed it also. In fact, the audience was great.
Very tired and after a stop at the theatre store under the Marriott it was off to bed.
The weather has gotten better, which is a good fucking thing because I lost my umbrella at H2S!
