Okay!
Let me get this off my chest first.
Emily Skinner seems to have made a transformation overnight! I did not find her nearly as annoying as I did for the first 4 shows I saw her in. In both shows today, she did much less stepping on lines, and she played more to her fellow actors than to the audience. It really was nice to finally see. I think in time she is gonna fit in just fine. There are a few odd things that I will need to get used to. but there are also some that I do like. So I will be more open-minded if I see her again. After all, when she and Peter were getting into the line in finale, she reached over and ruffled his hair. It was very cute, and you gotta love her for that.

I am not going to say too much more about Dayton. He was great as always. He is very strong, the only Billy who does a one-handed handstand off the chairs in Electricity. He also used a couple of lines thaqt are normally not used in the US. He says, “‘cept I couldn’t wait” in stead of “But I opened it a few years early” in the Letter scene. And in stead of asking Michael, “You’re not a poof or anything?” he said, “poof or owt”!! At least he did on Saturday afternoon. Not many of us in the audience knew what he meant!

On to Peter! Got a full show out of this little guy this time around. He is so small, and still finding his strength and his voice. His performance was solid, but a few of his lines get lost, especially his “for f**k’s sake”. But he will get better as he learns to breath better and speak louder. His dancing is good and will get better as he gets stronger. And he is a pretty convincing actor.

Not much here I have not already said, so I guess I am done with reviews for now, though I am planning an “open letter” to the directors and producers of BETM, for all the good that will do!
